The Virginia Conference Common Table for Church Vitality met on March 17. The members considered various conference-level budget requests for 2009, and approved them for submission to the Annual Conference which meets June 15-18 in Roanoke. The Common Table welcomed the Rev. Marc Brown, incoming chairperson. This was the final meeting for the Rev. Dr. Susan Garrett, who chaired the Common Table since its inception in January 2006, and the former Conference Council on Ministries since 2003. The next meeting of the Common Table will be Friday and Saturday, September 26-27, 2008.
