Exciting Proposal, More Detail Needed

On February 2, 2008, The Virginia Conference Common Table for Church Vitality attended the “listening post” for “All Things New” at Shady Grove UMC in Mechanicsville.  The Common Table celebrated the effective presentation of the proposal for church growth by The 250 Task Force.  The Common Table had a few questions about the details of the report, and sent these on to the Task Force.  The Task Force will bring its final proposal to annual conference in Roanoke, June 15-17.

The Common Table also took care of conference business related to the Conference Rules, its own Charter, and the updated Child/Youth/Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy.

The next meeting of the Common Table is March 17, 2008, at 10 am, at the United Methodist Center in Glen Allen.
