These programs provide training for community-based health promoters and development of local programs. Comprehensive Community-based Primary Health Care is a holistic, community-led approach that includes child survival programs, home-based prenatal and postnatal care, care of chronic illnesses, family planning, safe drinking water, improvement of land and production of nutritious foods, improvement of livestock and treatment of animals, and income-generating activities for women and other vulnerable groups.
