HERITAGE, a scholarly journal, has been published by the Virginia Conference Historical Society for now 34 years.

With two issues a year, Spring and Fall, the annual subscription rate is $7.

Each issue includes one or more well-researched papers on Virginia United Methodist history.

Each issue also includes a review of current endeavors in Virginia Conference historical circles, as well as "Notes from the Ethelbert Drake Society." That last one needs some explaining. Each published "Notes" carries with it a disclaimer stating, "Named for the eccentric first editor of The Methodist Christian Sentinel (forerunner to the Virginia Advocate), the Ethelbert Drake Society is 'dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of items of Virginia Methodist history which heretofore have been overlooked or suppressed."
