As you remember, this fall we will be working on program proposals for 2007.

Programs will continue to be measured by how they help us accomplish our vision: "We envision churches where all God’s people are welcomed at table, nurtured and transformed to be Christ to others in the world." They will also be measured by how they assist the annual conference to live out its purpose: "to make disciples for Jesus Christ by equipping its local churches for ministry and by providing a connection for ministry beyond the local church, all to the glory of God."

Please keep the following in mind as you make requests this year: we are responsible to the churches of the Virginia Conference for the most effective use of the money entrusted to us. Also, please remember that no request will be considered unless the form is completed in its entirety.

I am enclosing the following for your information and use:

The "2007 Program Proposal Form." Please note that both front and back need to be completed. Be specific about how the program relates to the conference vision. Your staff person will supply you with the number of copies you will need. We are requesting that each form be finalized by the staff persons to assure more uniformity in presentation.

2. Guidelines for CCOM Scholarships and Training.

3. A Program Proposal Summary Sheet for each Board or Agency which should accompany your requests.

4. The 2005 and 2006 Indices of the "CCOM Program Proposals". We will send the 2004 Index in a separate e-mail.

The completed program proposals need to be in our office by October 1. Please send them as soon as possible after your fall meeting. They may be filed electronically. Please make sure that all proposals from a board or agency come to our office bundled together, WITH the summary sheet. This will ensure that no program proposals are misplaced.
