Agape Christian Children's Community Center During the school year, volunteers 16 and older are needed as classroom assistants with the school program and to serve meals every night to the children. Eastern Shore Hispanic Ministry Eastern Shore Hispanic Ministry is an ongoing ministry of the United Methodist Church to the Hispanic people on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Middle school-senior high youth groups are welcome to help in the summer with evening Bible studies for the migrant children. Help is also needed at the Casa Esperanza Center in Wachapreague where groups can help repair the facility and do grounds work, also sorting and organizing donated items. Occohannock on the Bay Camp and Retreat Center Occoahnnock on the Bay Camp and Retreat Center is the Eastern Shore District United Methodist Church camp that provides outdoor ministry programs to help people of all ages grow in the knowledge and love for God. Mission teams are sent out from the camp to do yard work and home repair for people in need to local communities. There are always general maintenance and clean-up projects that are needed at the camp. Youth volunteers are invited to help with summer camps as well during mid-June through mid-August.
