Music: "Russian Praise" hymnbook and CD. Published by the General Board of Global Ministries.1999. OSBM" 1-890569-17-8. Available through Cokesbury. Very well done. Perhaps suitable for a more experienced choir. CD would be great for background to a Russian dinner or presentation.

Books:
The Transformed Lives: Of Twenty-seven Contemporary Russians by Boris Mikhailov. Russian Resources Press, Inc. FLA, 2001. ISBN: 1-888676-09-4A truly inspiring book about the lives of Russian Methodists and their church. Many of the stories are redundant but you get a sense of what a revelation (and revolution) is to a people who were raised under communism as atheists.
The New Russians by Hendrick Smith. Avon Books., NY 1990. ISBN: 0-380-71651-8 A good history of the radical change from communism to today. Has good insights and is well written but maybe a little heavy for some. [Back to Top]
Children’s Books:
Russian Girl: Life in an old Russian Town, by Russ Kendall, Scholastic Inc., NY, 1994. ISBN: 0-590-45789-6. Written on cusp of changes but still has good pictures and good information. Suitable for Sunday school class or children’s teaching moment.
