UMVIM Training Opportunities
Team Leader Training is required for all first time United Methodist Volunteers In Mission team leaders, but all interested persons are welcome to attend whether leading a team or not. The Virginia Conference offers sessions in different parts of the state. Attendance may be restricted at some locations. The following training events are currently scheduled:
April 10, 2010 - Sterling UMC, Sterling (Arlington District)

Each training session will be from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with registration beginning at 8:45 a.m. There is a $10 registration fee for each participant, payable at the door. Lunch will be provided. Continuing Education Units (0.5 units) will be provided for those needing CEU certification.
All team leaders must have a Team Leader Handbook to attend this course. Team Leader Handbooks are available from the Southeastern Jurisdiction Office of United Methodist Volunteers In Mission at http://www.umvim.org/VIM_Store.htm for $26.00 including shipping, or call (404) 377-7424. The Team Leader Handbook used in this course was first published in September 2006. Versions prior to September 2006 will not be used. There will be no Team Leader Handbooks for sale at the training session.
