Bishop Charlene Kammerer will help lead
9/11 "Memory and Hope" interfaith service


Bishop Charlene Kammerer will join other regional faith leaders and Richmond Mayor Dwight Jones to lead an interfaith service at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at Temple Beth El, 3330 Grove Ave. in Richmond.

The service, "Memory and Hope," will be an observance of the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon and an airplane that crashed in Pennsylvania.

Participants will also include Rabbi Martin Beifield of Temple Beth Ahabah, Imam Ammar Amonette of the Islamic Center of Virginia, and other faith community leaders.
