Director of Inclusivity and Lay Leadership Excellence

• Coordinate Lay and Clergy Leadership training and empowering in issues of ethnic, racial, and cultural diversity
• Provide resources, coaching, training, and equipping for leadership, cultural, ethnic, diverse ministries, and faith communities of the Virginia Conference
• Resource and train clergy and lay leaders in large, mid-size and small membership churches in collaboration with the Center for Congregational Excellence. 
Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree minimum; theological or religious studies degree desired 
• Previous experience in the fields of Leadership Development and Inclusive Ministry resourcing preferred
• A passion for coaching, mentoring, and training laity and clergy in leadership excellence and in ministries of inclusiveness
• Knowledge of resources for sensitivity awareness and training
• Personal relationship skills and the ability to work in a cooperative relationship with the Bishop, Cabinet, conference boards and agencies, clergy, and laity
• Experience and skill in responding to and working with multiple constituencies
• Develop and manage a budget
• Effective intrapersonal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of and/or willingness to learn the Virginia Conference organization and the operation of the various boards, agencies, and commissions at the local church, district and conference levels
• Knowledge of The United Methodist Church and its theology, organizational structure and mission

Choir Director

Pastoral Counseling of Northern Virginia (PCNV) has a position available for a full-time well-qualified counselor/therapist. PCNV is a non-profit pastoral counseling center with offices located throughout Northern Virginia. PCNV has a multi-disciplined staff providing pastoral counseling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, adolescents and children. The applicant should have appropriate education, credentials and certification/licensure (or nearing completion of such). While not necessary, preference is given to those currently practicing in Northern Virginia who already possess or desire a full-time caseload, looking to join an experienced, collegial and non-hierarchical setting in which to do their work.
